Practice Description
David Aires is a senior consultant with over 10 years of experience and his practice covers tax advice on direct and indirect taxes; design and implementation of national and international tax planning and tax management and recovery studies. His experience also includes the analysis of special tax regimes and incentives applied to strategic sectors such as the oil and gas industry (REPETRO), infrastructure projects and energy (REIDI), construction of port facilities (REPORTO) technology, among others.
David advises national and multinational clients on the implementation and execution of their operations in Brazil in different commercial and industrial sectors, with a special focus on oil and gas, energy, technology,mining, construction and engineering, transportation, telecom and entertainment.
David Aires is a lawyer and accountant and he provides legal, tax and accounting integrated solutions in connection with domestic and foreign investments; mergers, acquisitions and divestments, company?s restructuring and tax recovery, implementation of corporate governance policies, structuring and execution of energy, mining, logistics and infrastructure projects, construction; and equipment, services and material import and temporary admission, etc.
His tax practice encompasses also consulting on the BR GAAP, IFRS and its interface with international GAAP, as well as the tax and social securityadministrative and judicial litigation, including the representation of clients against tax assessments and tax lawsuits before public agencies, and state and federal courts.
